FC Mobile portable NES Console
April 29, 2008
I wonder what Nintendo has to say about a plethora of NES clones hitting the market even in this day and age where High Definition gaming has been around for quite a fair bit already. The FC Mobile portable NES console features :-
- 2.4″ LCD display
- Internal stereo speakers
- Headphone socket
- TV-out
Powered by AA batteries, this handheld console works with North American NES catridges instead of Japanese Famicom versions. Pretty strange to see a console being smaller than the cartridge itself. It… Continue reading

MacMage has just released a clever tiny app that aims to make keeping track of your small buys simple as pie ($7.99 for that pie). Cents ($4.99 for a full license) sits in your menubar and patiently waits for you to spend some money. Simply click the coin icon in your menubar, and the interface as seen to the right pops up. Enter the name of your buy and how much you paid for it and you’re well on your way to financial independence (priceless)… Continue reading

Video of Psystar’s Mac clone
April 28, 2008
Much has been written about whether or not Psystar’s Mac clone, the Open Computer, actually exists, let alone if it’s legal. A Gizmodo reader sent in some video of his Open Personal booting up and running Leopard. Software Update doesn’t work, and the chances of Apple supporting this thing are less than zero.
I’m not against the idea of Mac clones (though I doubt Apple will ever officially sanction it) but if I were in the market for a Mac clone I would want one that was well… Continue reading

Engadget snares next-gen iPhone pr0n
April 28, 2008
Why is it that our big sister Engadget always snares the great pre-release tidbits? Doesn’t anyone want to scoop to us? Sure, we’re littler. Sure, we’re less well known. But we’re fan-bois to the bone. Cut us and we bleed rainbow (and now styled silver).
That aside, Ryan “Da Man” Block found a source who got an advanced look at this slick sexy purported advanced unit. It’s black, it’s sleek and it just oozes iPhone-y goodness. According to Ryan’s source, it will have… Continue reading
Dao Launches Matrix-NEO LCD Monitor
April 28, 2008
I find it pretty hard to believe that a company might actually want to piggyback on the success of other brands and even franchises. Case in point - the Matrix-NEO LCD monitor from Dao Korea. This glossy full HD LCD monitor will feature a ho-hum dynamic contrast ratio of 7,000 to 1, and will be released on May 1st. I wonder what the legal eagles from Warner Bros. have to say about this - will this Matrix-NEO LCD monitor actually stop time and “bullets”… Continue reading
